Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 24, 2026

China Local Help ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use www.chinalocalhelp.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website and services, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us

  • Contact information — email address, WhatsApp number, name when you submit an inquiry, place an order, or contact us.
  • Booking information — full legal name (as shown on passport), passport number, nationality, age category (adult/student/child), visit date, and ticket type. This is mandatory for real-name attraction ticketing in China.
  • Payment information — credit/debit card details are collected directly by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number on our servers.
  • Communications — messages you send us via email, WhatsApp, or our contact form.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data — pages visited, referring website, browser type, device type, approximate country/region, and timestamps. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregated site traffic.
  • Technical data — IP address (truncated/anonymized in GA4 where supported), user agent, and standard web server logs for security and abuse prevention.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To process and fulfill your ticket bookings and send booking confirmations by email.
  • To communicate with you about your order, including confirmations, changes, and refund status.
  • To provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.
  • To prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, and protect the security of the website.
  • To analyze aggregated, non-personal usage statistics so we can improve the website.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. Passport & Identity Data

Chinese attractions require real-name identification for entry. We use your passport details solely to purchase tickets on your behalf through the official attraction channels. After the booking is complete and your visit date has passed, we retain order records for accounting and dispute resolution but limit internal access to authorized personnel only.

4. Who We Share Data With

  • Payment processor (Stripe) — to process payments. Stripe's privacy policy applies to card data handled on their hosted checkout pages.
  • Attractions and official ticketing channels — we submit the name and passport information required to issue the ticket you booked.
  • Email service provider — to send transactional emails (order confirmations, refund notices).
  • Cloudflare — our hosting and security provider, which processes standard web traffic data under its own privacy policy.
  • Google Analytics — aggregated analytics. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

We may also disclose information when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use essential cookies required for the website to function, and analytics cookies via Google Analytics to collect aggregated usage data. We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not function properly.

6. Data Retention

We retain order records (including booking and identity information) for as long as necessary to fulfill the booking, handle disputes, comply with accounting and tax obligations, and enforce our agreements. When no longer required, we securely delete or anonymize the data. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics settings.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

8. International Data Transfers

Our website is hosted via Cloudflare's global network, and some service providers (such as Google Analytics and Stripe) process data outside of China. By using our services, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including HTTPS encryption for all traffic, restricted access to order data, and use of Stripe's PCI-DSS-compliant payment infrastructure. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure.

10. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Information about child travelers must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian as part of an adult's booking.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above indicates when the latest revision was posted. Material changes will be highlighted on the website or communicated by email where appropriate.
