⚠️ National Day (October 1–7) is the worst time to visit — Xi'an is one of China's most popular domestic destinations and the Terracotta Warriors become packed.
The Terracotta Warriors are about 40 km east of Xi'an city center in Lintong District. The easiest and most reliable public transport option is Tourist Bus 306 (游5) from Xi'an Railway Station, or Metro Line 9 to Huaqing Pool station plus a short shuttle.

- To reach the Terracotta Warriors, take tourist bus 306 from Xi'an Railway Station — allow about 1 hour each way.
- Xi'an Xianyang International Airport is about 40 km from the city center; the airport express bus or metro Line 14 connects it.
2–3 days is ideal. 2 days covers the Terracotta Warriors and city highlights (City Wall, Muslim Quarter, Big Wild Goose Pagoda). Add a 3rd day for the Shaanxi History Museum and a more relaxed pace.
