Zhangjiajie National Forest Park: Complete Guide

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park (张家界国家森林公园) is the crown jewel of China's UNESCO Global Geopark network and the inspiration for the floating Hallelujah Mountains in the movie Avatar. Covering 4,810 hectares of towering sandstone pillars, this park is a must-visit for any traveler to China.

How to Get There

The park is located in Zhangjiajie City, Hunan Province. You can fly directly to Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport (DYG) from major Chinese cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Changsha. Alternatively, take a high-speed train to Zhangjiajie West Station.
