By Air

Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport (DYG) has direct flights from:

• Beijing (3h), Shanghai (2.5h), Guangzhou (2h), Shenzhen (2h)

• Changsha (1h), Chengdu (1.5h), Xi'an (2h)

• International: Seoul, Bangkok (seasonal)

By Train

Zhangjiajie West Station is on the high-speed rail network:

• Changsha → Zhangjiajie: 2.5–3 hours (¥150–200)

• Shanghai → Zhangjiajie: 7–8 hours (via Changsha)

• Beijing → Zhangjiajie: 8–9 hours (via Zhengzhou)

• Didi (Chinese Uber): Download the app — it has an English interface and accepts foreign credit cards. Much easier than haggling with taxi drivers.
