Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport (DYG) has direct flights from:

International: Seoul, Bangkok (seasonal)

By Train

Zhangjiajie West Station is on the high-speed rail network:

Changsha → Zhangjiajie: 2.5–3 hours (¥150–200)
Shanghai → Zhangjiajie: 7–8 hours (via Changsha)
Beijing → Zhangjiajie: 8–9 hours (via Zhengzhou)

Tips for Foreign Travelers

Didi (Chinese Uber): Download the app — it has an English interface and accepts foreign credit cards. Much easier than haggling with taxi drivers.
Taxi language barrier: Most drivers don't speak English. Show your destination in Chinese characters on your phone.
Navigation: Apple Maps works reasonably well. Baidu Maps is more detailed but in Chinese only.
Highway tolls: If hiring a private car, confirm whether tolls are included in the quoted price.
